They are ideal for electronically expanding and managing an existing mechanical locking system in a room - or anywhere else where the MLR3000 does not fit. With MLU3000 Locks, you can conveniently secure a wide variety of server cabinets, and also doors or enclosures such as security cabinets and individual drawers. You can complement your existing mechanical security systems with the MLU1000 installed on the inside and the MLU3000 access indicator which is visible from the outside. When equipped with MLU3000s, the enclosures and cabinets are now able to be administered with the Administration Suite software, yet they can still be operated stand-alone if desired. The MLU3000s are especially well suited for use in rooms with a large number of cabinets and doors which cannot be secured with the Mechatronic Lock for Racks (MLR) due to incompatible latching mechanisms or cutouts. Communications are handled via the “E-LINE by DIRAK” Gateway, which acts as the interface between the RS485 bus and the Ethernet/LAN. Up to 32 MLU3000s can be addressed individually via one shared IP address. By connecting the MLU3000s to a system running the Administration Suite software, you gain a convenient and reliable access control solution. The software enables security administrators to monitor and control access rights and lock opening from the convenience of their PCs. The LED integrated into the MLU3000 provides local visual indication of alarms, access authorisation and temperature conditions directly on the unit. Technicians on site are thus able to see the same information as displayed in the Administration Suite software in the control centre. A backlit information field integrated into the unit allows customer-specific data to be displayed on site. With MLU3000 Locks, you can secure those server cabinets in the data centre, where it may not be possible to use the MLR Series with adapters for your particular cam, rod or offset latching system.
